Privacy Policy for SMS Texting

1. INTRODUCTION:
Perkins Law Group, PC is committed to protecting the privacy of individuals who receive text messages from our firm through our text messaging services. 

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you opt-in to receive SMS text messages from Perkins Law Group, PC. By providing your phone number and signing your free agreement or opting in to receive SMS messages, or by initiating a text to us, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy which can also be found at perkinslawgrouppc.com/privacy-policy. Message frequency varies.  Message and data rates may apply. Your information will not be shared.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT:
When you opt-in to receive SMS text messages from us, we collect the following information: 

·       Phone Number: The mobile phone number you provide to receive SMS messages. 

·       Message Content: The content of any SMS messages we send to you. 

·       Opt-In/Opt-Out Data: Information about your subscription preferences and any changes to them. 

·       Read Receipt/Reply: Whether you read or replied to our text message.

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION:
We use your phone number and other related information for the following purposes: 

To Send SMS Messages: 

·       Use of Information.

We use the information we collect to send you updates, alerts, and other relevant information related to our legal services or a case we may be working on with you.

·       Reminders of Appointments, Due Dates, Invoices &  (Client requested)
This may include appointment reminders, case updates including invoices/billing information, and general firm announcements. We will not use your phone number for any other purpose without your explicit consent. 

·       Customer Support:
To respond to your inquiries and provide customer service.
·       Compliance and Legal Requirements:
To comply with applicable laws and regulations.

4. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION:
We do not share your contact information to third parties for  marketing or promotional purposes, under any circumstances, even with your consent. In fact, we do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your phone number to outside parties without your explicit consent, except in the following circumstances: 

·       Service Providers: Third-party service providers who assist us in managing our SMS communications may be able to access your information. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it only for the purpose of providing services to us.
·       Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law or in response to a valid legal request, such as a subpoena or court order.
·       Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our business, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, as agreed upon in the contract for sale between you and the other party.  But our firm does not transfer, sell, or share your personal information with any external organizations under any circumstances, even with your consent. 

5. SECURITY:
We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no transmission over the internet or electronic storage system is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. We keep your contact information limited to a secure case management system which only employees can access. 

6. YOUR CHOICES/PREFERENCES:

·       Opt-In/Opt-Out:   Clients may opt in by providing their phone number and signing a fee agreement, texting us and agreeing to the link provided, or giving verbal consent (which we document). The firm offers clients the choice to opt in to receive appointment reminders via SMS messaging. This reminder service is provided as a courtesy to clients, and only upon request by our clients. The firm does not require its clients to use this service. Clients who opt into SMS appointment reminders may opt out and unsubscribe at any time by texting “STOP” or by contacting our office by phone or email. Perkins Law Group, PC does not share phone numbers with anyone. Message and data rates may apply. You can choose to opt-in or opt-out of receiving SMS messages from us at any time. To opt-out, reply “STOP” to any SMS message you receive from us. This will unsubscribe you from further messages. For assistance or more information, reply “HELP” or contact us directly 720-954-2332.
